- The Asset Building for Communities of Color (ABC) Program will administer $20 million in grants to diverse LA County business owners in four ways: acquisition assistance, growth capital, microloans and grants. The program is currently under development with details to be finalized by the summer of 2022. - The Comeback Checks Program will provide $5,000 grants to 5,000 businesses operating within the City of Los Angeles that meet certain eligibility requirements (based on business size, formation structure, financial hardship due to COVID-19, etc.). - Los Angeles County is offering $5,000 – $40,0000 of rental assistance to qualified small business tenants in unincorporated areas of the County who have been unable to pay rent (from March 4, 2020 to present) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. - To qualify, businesses must have less than $1 million in annual gross revenue, no more than 9 full time employees, be open at the time of application submittal, be located at the same brick and mortar location a minimum of 24 months as of June, 2019, demonstrate gross revenue loss of at least 25% over a 12-month period, provide a business license with address in unincorporated LA County and have not received other assistance from LA County ARP Act-funded projects.

- PPE Unite is distributing 5.5 million units of personal protective equipment (PPE) at no cost to LA County based small businesses. To register for the PPE Unite Program and free supplies, small businesses must complete the registration form on the PPE Unite website. The free PPE will be distributed 30-days, on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. See: https://www.ppeunite.org/.
- The COVID-19 Safety Compliance Certificate Program (CSCC) is a free online program to help educate and train business owners to comprehensively implement the LA County Department of Public Health COVID-19 safety directives. Businesses that do not participate are required to display Public Health COVID-19 Protocols in their storefronts. - LA County’s Department of Consumer and Business Affairs’ Office of Small Business is available to help connect business owners to local, state and federal resources, including layoff aversion and emergency loans. - Long Beach implemented an Emergency Microloan Program to support certain enterprises. Loans from $2,500 to $10,000 are available on a first-come, first‑served basis. Loan proceeds can be used for business expenses, such as payroll costs, rent, supplies and materials, utilities, and more. - The Grow Long Beach Loan provides loans from $100,000 to $2,000,000 to certain businesses. Loan proceeds can be used for business expenses, such as construction, tenant improvements, equipment, working capital, and more. - The City of LA is offering microloans to local businesses. Loans from $5,000 to $20,000 are available at various interest rates and terms. To qualify, businesses must (1) be for-profit and tax-exempt, (2) have 100 or fewer employees, (3) have a Business Tax Registration Certificate with the City of LA’s Office of Finance filed prior to March 1, (4) be negatively impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, (5) have a principal owner with reasonable and responsible personal credit history, (6) have historical profits sufficient to service the requested debt, (7) have its primary operations in a commercial‑use building within the city of LA, and (8) have all owners with a 20% ownership guarantee the loan.
